CHRISTMAS WEEKDAY

White

1 Jn 4: 7-10 / Mk 6:34-44

1st Reading: 1 John 4:7-10

My dear friends, let us love one another for love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Those who do not love have not known God, for God is love.

How did the love of God appear among us? God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him.

This is love: not that we loved God but that he first loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Reflection:

What is the one thing that calms a raging storm in a person's heart, resolves seemingly irreconcilable disputes, removes the feeling of loneliness and forgives without a second thought? Love. We were born out of love and because of God's love for us, we are saved.

What can be greater than the love of our Lord who saved us by giving us His only Son in atonement for our sins? In the first reading from St. John's letter, let us reflect on what we can do to show our gratitude for God's unconditional love for us. We can show our gratitude and love for God by loving our neighbor, by loving one another, by living the prayer of St. Francis with everyone around us – being instruments of His peace, forgiving all who have inflicted pain on us, sowing love where there is hatred, always keeping in mind that it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

WE PRAY FOR MTQ DAILYPRAYER DIARY INTENTIONS:

BIRTHDAY

     CIPRIANO MORALES

IN MEMORIAM (+)

     DIONISIO C. SO

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
